Girls-fit School Trousers FAQs

How to measure for girls fit school trousers?

To measure for girls' fit school trousers, you will need a measuring tape. With the child standing up straight, measure around the true waist – usually just below the rib cage and the narrowest part of the torso. Next, measure from the crotch to the bottom of the inside leg. For reference, most girls' school trousers have an inside leg of about 23 inches.

To find the right size, refer to a size chart that includes measurements for both the waist and inside leg. You can also use the child's current trousers as a guide. If they fit well in the waist and hips, but are too short or long in the legs, you can try a different size that has the same waist but longer or shorter leg.

When trying on new trousers, pay attention to how they feel in the waist and hips. The trousers should be snug but not tight, and they should not gap at the waist. The waist measurement of the trousers won’t be the same as the actual measurement of the garment, as they are designed “to fit” that waist size, and also include some growth room.

The legs should be the right length, so that the child can move freely without tripping over the hem. If the trousers are too big or too small in any area, they will likely be uncomfortable to wear and may need to be adjusted or exchanged for a different size. We offer free 60 days exchanges. What is the Right fit for your daughters trousers?

We offer a wide range of trouser sizes, including short, regular and long length. If your daughter prefers a closer fit or is between sizes, we recommend sizing down. When it comes to choosing the right fit of trousers for your daughter, we recommend taking into account her personal preferences as well as her body type.

If she prefers a more relaxed fit, go for a size up. If she likes her trousers to be more fitted, try a size down. And if she's between sizes, we recommend sizing down.

How Should Trousers Fit My Daughter?

Trousers should fit comfortably around the waist, with a slight gap at the back of the waistband. The legs should be long enough that they don't ride up when your child is sitting or playing, but not so long that they drag on the ground.

If the trousers are too big at the waist, they may fall down or feel uncomfortable. If they're too small, they may be uncomfortable or hard to put on and take off. The best way to ensure a comfortable fit is to try on the trousers before you buy them.

What Size Trousers Should I Buy for My daughter?

When shopping for trousers for your daughter, we recommend that you take into account her height, weight, and body type. You can use our size chart as a guide, and the sizing app found online Mysize, where you can input your child’s measurements and we will suggest an appropriate size. You many also find the best way to find the perfect fit is to try on the trousers. Trutex offer free exchanges for 60 days.

If you're not sure what size to buy, we recommend that you buy a size that is slightly larger than your girl's current size. This will allow her to grow into the trousers and get more wear out of them.
