• A triathlon is a very demanding race where the competitors swim, cycle and run to the finish line
• The Triathlon was invesnted in the 1970's in the United States of America
• The first ever official Triathlon event was held in 1974 with a short swim of 550m, a 8kn cycle and a 8.5km run
• Both women's and men's Olympic Triathlon races include 1500m swim, a 40km cycle and a 10km run - Phew!!
• The first ever Olympic Triathlon medal was run at the Sydney 2000 games in Australia
• The Paris Olympic Triathlon will be on July 30th, July 31st and August 5th 2024. You can watch on TV
