YOU WILL NEED
3 large ripe bananas
375g traditional rolled oats
30g finely chopped dried dates
30g finelt chopped dried apricots
30g cup slivered almonds
1tsp ground cinnamon
1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
PLUS YOU'LL NEED: mixing bowl and wooden spoon, potato masher, 16cm x 25.5cm oven tray, grease proof paper, butter or margarine and a helpful grown up!
GET READY TO BAKE!
Pre heat your oven to 180°/ 160° fan oven.
Grease a 16cm x 25.5cm oven tray with butter or margarine.
Line your baking tray with grease proof paper, make sure it sticks into the corners and it comes 2cm above edges of the tray.
Get your mixing bowl and potato masher. Peel the bananas and mash them into the bowl until nice and smooth.
Add the oats, dates, apricots, almonds, cinnamon and the vanilla extract. Stir really well until the mixture is completely combined.
Spoon the mixture into your prepared tray. Then using the back of your spoon, press the micture evenly into the tray so it's flat and goes into the corners.
Ask your helpful adult to put it into the oven and bake for 30-35 minutes until golden.
Then, ask your adult to remove it from the ovem and leave to vool.
When it has completely cooled, cut into small bars with a knife and lift them out. - They're ready to eat - Enjoy!
